Langley City 2024-2025 Revitalization

Our historic Fraser Highway will be undergoing a complete revitalization starting in August 2024. The project is expected to take 6 – 8 months, but will include all utility upgrades and a brand new streetscape. Here’s the information and renderings from Langley City. As the project progresses, check in often for updates.

Langley City Revitalization Project

Project Details

 

Location:

Fraser Highway from 204 Street to 206 Street

 

Estimated Duration:

Fall 2024 - Spring 2026 

 

Estimated Investment: 

$18 million

 

Project Details:

  • Replace the aging water main and services 
  • Replace the aging sanitary, storm sewers, and services
  • Underground BC Hydro Transmission Infrastructure
  • Surface works include paving, concrete curbs, concrete sidewalks, streetlights, landscaping etc. 

 

Temporary Impacts:

  • Through traffic flow prohibitions
  • Potential full closure of road and street parking 
  • Phased and intermittent closure of sidewalks
